They will pitch Adkins and Adams becuase they HAVE to win. But in my opinion from the whole season and even during the District Adkins and Adams are second wrung compared to the Murray kid, in my opinion he is by far the better pitcher than the previous two. He throws strikes, but also has great off speed matched up with an average fastball that keeps hitters more off balance than what I have ever seen Adkins or Adams do. Tough to say who will win, but I think the winner of the Campbell county and Harrison co/Clark Co. game will be the 10th region champs without a doubt.

With No Offense to E.J, By far Scott's 1 and 2 are Adkins and Adams. Have you seen Scott play at all this year, or just basing it off what you saw this week. Because if you are basing it off this week, you would be right, but those two pitched the worst games of their careers on wenseday. Jordan is 5-2 with a sub 2.5 era as is Adams, without those two, they would be an afterthought.

No dis-respect to Murray but I know the Camels would rather face him than Adkins or Adams. They roughed up Adkins at little the first game but he was by far a better pitcher than Murray. Scott need only focus for the Champ. game as their hitting will win the 1st. two games easily.

What I find amazing is that the Campbell boys took care of business and beat Scott twice and Scott is in the division that they will absolutely annihilate. Oh well !!:confused:

Scott seems to draw well coming out of the district as a runner up in both basketball and baseball over the last three years. Just the luck of the draw. The important thing is that both teams are in the final 8.

Campbell will be able to get by without Woodruff, Estes, or any other of their top pitchers in the first round against St. Patrick, so they should be set up with all of their aces in the hole to face either Harrison or Clark who will play a much tougher game, not just physically, but mentally the day before. Campbell will breeze into the second round and should be well rested and ready for the challenge.

That semi-final game should be a great one between Campbell and the Harrison/Clark winner!

If an upset was to happen in this region, what game would that be? IMO St. Pat. beating campbell would be the most suprising.

I don't think this is going to happen. This Campbell County team is more focused than I have seen in many years.

But like someone told me on any given day and team can be beaten.

Very likely that it won't. I think that is exactly what breds balla was implying because that would make it the most surprising!

...and all I was saying is you never know what might happen. I understood what bred was saying.

With all due respect, Adkins and Adams didn't pitch that badly and neither did Verst (?) from Brossart. The umpire forced both teams to serve it up. No corners, no low or high strike zone and 25 - 30 mph winds blowing out to left center the entire game makes for a lot of offense. I think both Adams and Adkins will be fine, although I am concerned about Adams. From what I hear, the coaches may have over-pitched him (pitches per game) during the middle of the season and he appears to have issues with his velocity again. Here's hoping he gets some rest and is ready for the regional.

One thing is for certain, the winner of this region will be facing an awesome pitching staff from Mercer in the 12th region.

You are right about the ump situation. The umpires from the district didnt do anybody any favors with their miniscule strike zone. They did not call any corners

Anyone giving Bourbon a chance. They played a solid game against GRC and they really seem to get the job done when they need too. Wonder who they will pitch ?

Although not one of the favorites, Bourbon County could be the darkhorse of this years Regional.

I don't think they have enough pitching to win 3 games in a row against quality teams, but they could upset and win a game or two.
