July 28, 200818 yr Bump...Come on now someone needs to say something about that footage. It looks like any other Friday the 13th film? I won't get excited about any remake/reimagining/reinvention til I actually see it. There hasn't been one yet that has turned out halfway decent, so I will hold judgement.

I understand the thing with the redo's of classic movies though..I think it's on the right track though!

July 29, 200818 yr Author They added that the film is not an origin story and will be more rooted in reality. "He doesn't teleport. He doesn't walk slow. Did you see the teaser? At the end he's coming hard. It's a different type of Jason. You don't see a character running full speed, look back, and [Jason's] just walking. And then they turn a corner, and [Jason's] right there. We did away with all that. And that makes sense in the movie. This is a guy who lives in the wilderness, and has to kill with ease, so he has to be good with weapons. You know, killing people, killing food, it's all the same trip."

But of course, they then added that they were open to sequels if this did well. Of course there will be more if this does well. There will be more even if this bombs. DUH.

I think they will make a sequel but if they didn't then that would be fine also...Who knows how the ending will turn out but I think it could be a definitive ending that also leaves the door slightly open if they wanted too...

September 23, 200817 yr Author It has been confirmed that an official trailer for the new Friday the 13th will be released in the previews of the upcoming horror Saw V. which is due out on Oct 24th.
September 29, 200817 yr Author Some new pictures on the new Jason Voorhees unmasked and a couple of him masked. More pictures can be found at http://www.worstpreviews.com/headline.php?id=10269&count=0
September 30, 200817 yr What number is this? You can have fun looking at the release dates for all the films. After part 8, Paramount dropped the franchise and it was picked up by New Line. If you remember, Jason Goes To Hell, at the end there was a shot of Freddy's claw grabbing Jason's mask. We finally got Freddy vs Jason years later. What's funny about looking at the release dates for these films, it reminds me of how the Police Academy movies and how 6 of those films were churned out from 1984-1989. I believe the Elm Street franchise had 6 films from 1984-1991. Nothing has changed in Hollywood in regards to "milking the cow" as we have seen with the Saw franchise. Since I'm making this post 2,000 words. Derek Mears, who plays the new Jason, is on the convention circuit and I'm hoping to meet him next year. I have heard he is a really, really great guy.
October 1, 200817 yr Cracked.com has this movie on a list of 80s Movies That Should Not Be Remade. Funny article, here's the link: 80's Memories Ruined?
