The class of 2011, just may be one of the best baseball classes that Northern Kentucky has seen in many years. I can't wait to see how good these young men are when they are seniors.

Caleb Lonkard and Conner Hempel are good freshman players currently playing for Ryle's JV who probably have a good chance of making the varsity roster as sophomores.

I think Tyler Sexton of Dixie is going to be one of the best pictchers to watch in the upcoming years. I was definitely impressed with his arm.

These are all great young men but I believe you should add this many more kids again to this list. This class is loaded Rebholz, Dunaway, Teegarden, Jenkins, Cain, Losey, Kremer, Sullivan, Crane, Hempel, Lonkard,these just off the top of my head there are more, I just can't remember their names. :thumb:

Goe from Grant Co. has been very solid at second this year & had alot of big hits to help the Braves win a few games.

Sexton is a great kid with a good arm. He has helped the varsity team out some this year all ready as I know he pitched in the Coach Connor Classic. It'll be interesting to see how he progresses. I wish him all the best.

He plays all 3 .He hit his first high school home run,straight away center, Saturday at Beechwood in the freshman tourney leading to a run rule of Cov Cath .He came within about 10 feet of another down the line .He then was given an intentional walk his last time up .

He's a very good hitter. A very good third baseman. A very good pitcher. A very bright future.

Bertke, has pitched, played third or short at all three levels. He has several complete games pitching, and pitched 6 1/3 and got the win in the varsity game against Bryan Station.

 

 

Most fundamentally sound player Beechwood has. IMO, his best position is 3rd. He is a good pitcher because he throws strikes, very smart baseball player. He is what I would call "baseball smart." I know he did not get this from his dad, must be from his mama.:laugh:

John Roberts from Conner. Played shortstop for the JV team this year and started 2-3 games for Varsity. He will most likely lead off and play short stop for the cougars next year.

 

Actually Gill will have the starting job next year as he has had for the past two.
