Morakinyo Williams granted release from UK

Featured Replies

Seemed like a nice guy, just not what UK needed.

Hope he does well wherever he ends up.

He needs time to develop, and Kentucky doesn't have that type of time available.

This is beneficial for both parties, although it's disappointing to lose a quality guy and pretty good student.

Good for both parties. They needed to part ways.

The big man will end up at Duquesne.

Good luck to Williams..............................hope this works out better for him.

Good luck to him, but he is UK material.

Duquesne landed UL commit Melquan Bolding, too, I believe.

The article above, from ESPN, says that Williams was one of Kentucky's top recruits from a year ago. :eek:

He will fit in fine at Georgetown or Pikeville and may even see playing time by his Senior year! HAHA

That is just hilarious! :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Be easy on this kid. He made the right choice, both for himself and for UK. All of us UK fans should show some class and wish him all the best.

Opens up another scholarship.

Could Carter, Porter or Harris be next?

This is the first recruit Scott Rigot landed since, well, Morakinyo Williams. :sssh:
