May 3, 200818 yr They did not "screw up their lives". They got kicked out of school and embarassed. They blew their first chance. They are good athletes with talent and not just regular kids going to school. Someone will take the chance on them, then if they do it again, they may screw up their lives. Regular students usually have one shot. They do it again, it's their fault. Just glad that they won't be at UT anymore.
May 3, 200818 yr Ramar's problem was academics. Crews has the illegal substance problem again. Pearl said they would both be better off at another school and let them go.
May 3, 200818 yr Hurts them quite a bit IMO. Does any of this make Tyler Smith re-think staying next season????
May 4, 200818 yr Inability to pass a urine test... Though they claim its a false-positive because they had eaten poppy-seed bagels with their tea while pulling an all-nighter before finals week.
May 4, 200818 yr OR .....possibly a contaminated toliet seat???? C'mon now. I heard there were multiple failures. Must really love their tea and poppy seed buns......
May 5, 200818 yr Okay so Crews for substance issues and Smith for academic issues....is there anything confirmation on these two reasons? I'm sure every college in America has at least one student player test positive for illegal substance, and even more with academic issues each year. Doesn't suprise me at all! Think about it, football, basketball, swimming, baseball, lacrosse, tennis, etc. Lots of athletes at each school. I'm sure this is nothing new to any school. Good thing it that it is being delt with, as opposed to covered up. How many schools let players stay on the team, especially players with academic issues, because they don't want to lose a star player?
May 5, 200818 yr UT. Football. Academic papers/homework scandal admitted publically a few years ago and never dealt with by the NCAA. The Vols have a history of this stuff, so it is kind of suprising that it is so public.
