Top Players in the 2010 Class

Featured Replies

Never said anything about Larry Bradley. Two of the transfers they're getting played AAU ball with the Johnson brothers last year and some this year and one played at Taft with them.

The third who is supposed to be on his way is the big time player who would make the biggest impact. Like I said I'll know more Tues and will be able to let you know whether it's Bradley or not.

I said it before, and I'll say it again, if the KHSAA rules them eligible I can have no problem with it because there was obviously no wrong doings.

Only difference between the Holmes transfers and Euton/Jackson though is the Holmes transfers grew up in the area and attended the feeder elementary and middle schools.

I have no problem with schools getting transfers. But at the time of the Euton/Jackson transfers, I voiced it seemed odd that as soon as Euton left, Jackson followed. But if both were ruled eligible to play, they obviously had legitimate reasons so I can say nothing about it.

Larry Bradley to Oak Hill that is a fact! His family is moving to Scott Co. But Steve Smith said he can play at Oak Hill next year!

Plus Jackson is Ok with the KHSAA ruled on Friday! Euton will be ruled on by Friday next week!

This is not factual.

The information I got was it was done and over with for Chad Jackson! The KHSAA got all the answers from the family and school along with other people. Plus the KHSAA only have 30 days to make a ruling. Last Friday was the deadline. All good from my information.

Can't offer much but Scott Co. just received notice to supply information and explanation for several things. They will find a way to slide through more than likely but those cases are anything but closed.

I knew that but it was all information was pass on to the KHSAA last week. I was told it was over. So do you know the hold up?

There has not been a decision handed down. The letter was just delivered in reference to Euton.

What is the letter in reference to Euton about a ruling or more infromation?

When talking about 2010 prospects, a game between Holmes and Scott Co. would really be exciting. Both teams have 3 big time 2010 players. I hope atleast their senior years they are able to play each other in the regular season.

It is Tuesday! What up with the news?

Still trying to get more details but one is a 6'6 freshman who already stands taller than Pittman.

I agree. I'd really like to see that match up. Holmes also has a soph to be from this past year in Arnold (6'6 F/G) who played a lot this year before breaking his foot. Too early to tell if he's a D1 prospect but he has dominated at his age level.

The key to the Holmes program in 2010 though is the 6'6 freshman who's coming in this year which would most likely be their big man that year as a soph.

Arnold has dominated at what level? He's not even close to being the best soph to be in N Ky. He has never been a contributor on any of the top AAU teams in this age group and he wasn't even a force at the JV level for Holmes this past season.

I saw Holmes 7-8 times this year on the varsity level and 2-3 times on the JV level. While dressing for Holmes as a frosh was a pretty significant achievement with their talent level his minutes were pretty much limited to garbage minutes.

While I will agree he has potential he has yet to put it to use and saying that he has dominated at his age level would be an overstatement.

If you want to see where most of the best players from the class of 2011 ended up check out both Shining Stars (Pittman & McCord) rosters.

You must have not seen Arnold in middle school. He dominated at that level. You have to realize as a freshman he never even got to play freshman ball. He played up all year against kids who were physically more mature than him. I can guarantee you after a year of playing JV as a frosh and getting in to the swing of things both mentally and physically he will be a contributor next year on the varsity level and by his junior year will be one of the best in his age group.

Have seen him play on the AAU circuit 4-8th grade and was never a dominant player against good competition. Thread is about 2010 I guess we need to start a 2011 thread and discuss his merits in there!:ylsuper:

With AAU a lot of times you have to be in the right situation to shine. And its a more guard-oriented game anyways. If the kid is unselfish I could see why he could be very good, but not dominate.
