April 27, 200818 yr I don't think this means CJ is gone. If he were going to be traded I think it would have happened already. Then again he could be traded for next years draft picks. They don't have the money to pay any more draft picks than they have this year.:thumb:
April 27, 200818 yr As the Enquirer put it, "D'oh"! I understand taking one, but it doesn't take a genius to figure out that offense isn't the problem with this team. How many picks do they have left?
April 27, 200818 yr The Giants have a pretty good scouting department, so they must have seen something they liked in him. The Wonderlic is overrated IMO, and it's far less important for WR's than say a QB, but a 6 on it is BAD. The kid can play for sure, he's a first round talent but off the field issues caused his stock to plummet.

Said he's a first round talent who just made some off the field mistakes. Also mentioned that he's only 21 years old.

April 27, 200818 yr In what category did the Bengals struggle with on offense last year. The passing or running game?
April 27, 200818 yr In what category did the Bengals struggle with on offense last year. The passing or running game? Defense . And I'd say their running game was worse than their passing game.
April 27, 200818 yr 6 picks left...And I bet at least one more WR. 5 of those need to be devoted to defense, at least 4. We shall see how this pans out.
April 27, 200818 yr Defense . And I'd say their running game was worse than their passing game. So they draft WRs? What a joke. How about a RB or OL if you're going offense? And the heck with the D. Yeah they used thier 1st pick on a good LB, they are not magically just going to get better.
April 27, 200818 yr 5 of those need to be devoted to defense, at least 4. We shall see how this pans out. I see a QB with the next pick. I selected like they do. Blindfold and dart!
April 27, 200818 yr Wide receiver Mario Manningham probably saw the biggest improvement. After posting a disappointing 40-yard dash time in Indianapolis (4.59), the junior who left early to test the NFL waters posted a much more explosive mark (4.38) Friday in Ann Arbor. He posted the same 4.38 second time in the shuttle run. Like most of his ex-teammates, Manningham only participated in drills where he wanted to improve his mark from the combine. The only other workout he did was the vertical leap, where he posted a 35 inch mark – a 3 inch improvement from his previous height. LINK
April 27, 200818 yr I see a QB with the next pick. I selected like they do. Blindfold and dart! Why don't they just get a punter or kicker, you can never have enough of those on the roster.
April 27, 200818 yr 5 of those need to be devoted to defense, at least 4. We shall see how this pans out. I agree they need D help. But as the draft goes on, the talent goes down. At this point you want to draft guys who will make the Team, and help the Team.
April 27, 200818 yr I agree they need D help. But as the draft goes on, the talent goes down. At this point you want to draft guys who will make the Team, and help the Team. I agree with that, isn't this the part of the draft where having a strong scouting department can help you? Some picks would still be a reach, but at least you have done your homework enough to have a darn good idea about pick so and so.
April 27, 200818 yr Why don't they just get a punter or kicker, you can never have enough of those on the roster. This just in, they are looking at place kick holder from ETSU.
