Highlands 4 Scott 2

Featured Replies

Your right :thumb: Kind of funny you bring that up from a thread that long ago? But once again your right, I am absolutely suprised with this outcome.

And good luck to him in the pros!

Scott pitched George Sparks who only a week ago was pitching JV and is Scott's 3 or 4 in the rotation as of now. Scott was hoping they could get past them with him and then throw Adams at Covington Catholic but couldn't get to that as Highlands #1, Towles pitched just a bit better of game. Good outing by Sparks as well as Towles.

Haven't seen him throw this year, but sounds pretty much like last year, throws hard, no control....one would think he would have worked on that in the off season.

As far as good gene pool...ask Pete Jr how that worked out for him.

Towles can twirl, there's not doubt about it. He has the skills, mechanics and genepool. I see him atleast playing College ball if he doesnt get drafted.

Muench has a lot more K's then Towles, guess we'll see him at Great American Ballpark soon. And this is his first year in the rotation.

Towles can throw smoke but struggles with location. Are you saying Scott scored 11 off of him the first time these teams played? If so, was it off control problems, or did they hit him?

I was not at the game, but when he left they (Highlands) were down 3 to nothing.

The stats in the paper today are not up to date and don't include the 10 K's Towles had against Scott.

I don't think he had 10 Ks against Scott, I think it was around more 7 or 8

Pete Jr. made it to the show.

You speak of all these control problems Towles has but have you looked at his stats? In his last 3 outings he's compiled 21 k's going along with 4 BB and is 2-0. Sounds like a lot of control problems there....

Yep....for a cup of coffee.

But he did make it! Anyone who gets to the show, whether for just 1 AB, or just 1 pitch, has done something that most of us would pay top dollar to have the chance to do....

I had him down for 9 K's in the game.

No way he is 2-0...he pitched and they lost to Scott 11-0. Plus he had at least 4 walks against them.

Please read the quote. It's a very simple quote. "In his last 3 outings he's compiled 21 k's going along with 4 BB and is 2-0."

What this means SirMixAlot is that in Towles's last three outings he's had 21 k's and had 4 walks and has two wins compared to no losses. The Scott game was obviously not one of his last three outings.
