Highlands 4 Scott 2

You speak of all these control problems Towles has but have you looked at his stats? In his last 3 outings he's compiled 21 k's going along with 4 BB and is 2-0. Sounds like a lot of control problems there....

Yeah. But who has he pitched against in those last 3 outings

Many kids get drafted for many reasons. It could be upside, physical stature, politics (ie, Jim Bunning's grandson), etc. These are all things that could lead to Towles getting drafted like em or not.

Im not saying he is the best in NKY but only saying he has potential for getting drafted if throwing that kind of heat and 6'3 and still growing. Grandad was over 6'5 and his mom is very tall and the rest goes without saying.

Please read the quote. It's a very simple quote. "In his last 3 outings he's compiled 21 k's going along with 4 BB and is 2-0."

What this means SirMixAlot is that in Towles's last three outings he's had 21 k's and had 4 walks and has two wins compared to no losses. The Scott game was obviously not one of his last three outings.

So he pitched 4 times in 11 days ?

It seems to me that this thread has gone from the Highland/Scott game to a love/hate Thomas Towles thread. I have seen the kid throw in both good and not so good games. he did seem to struggle a bit at the begining of his season, but it seems like he is staring to make some ground, and is pitching very well. Wheter he gets "drafted" to the pros or not, no can tell. We are not fortune tellers here, (but if any of you are let me know what the lottery numbers are for next week ;) He does have very good physical make up to be an extreamly good pitcher. I think we should see how the rest of the season goes for him. But we'll be routing for him, it's always a good thing to see someone from this area do well in their sports!

I agree FanC. I'm very surprised this thread has continued. I thought one of the Moderators would have shut it down by now. No high school athlete should be "bashed" in such a way. I don't care if you like or dislike his Grandfather's personality or politics. Let the high school athlete enjoy the sport he's dedicated himself to play.
