Greenup County 12 Lewis County 5

Featured Replies

Lewis gets it within 2 runs in the 5th but Greenups bats got hot again. Staten went 4-4, Craft 3-4, Grubb 1-1 with a homerun, Logan 1-2, And Hieneman and Reed also added a hit. Greenslate got the W, pitching 2 innings adding 5 K's. Martin came in and had 2 good innings with Hardin following allowing 5 runs.

That's what makes Greenup Co. one of the top teams in the region they can put teams away when the game gets close.

The game was 7 to 0 in the fifth, Logan took out most of the starter's. That is the only reason it got close. Billy Logan pitched the last to innings, and pitched pretty well.

So GC just gave Lewis 5 runs? They hit the ball very well to earn those 5 runs.

Another "W" for GCHS, imo this is the team to beat in the 16th region this year.

I look forward to their meeting with Boyd on 4/17.:fight:

I agree, I'm sorry if that came out wrong, they hit the ball very well that inning, but that was the only inning. Lewis really impressed me, there was no give up in those boys, and I seriously was thinking that Logan made a big mistake. Lewis is going to win alot of games this year from what I could tell, they are a good ball team. I love the hustle of the short stop, that kid is fun to watch.
