Track the Reds (Week 2)

Featured Replies

If anyone is upset that they can't watch and/or listen to the Reds. I'm happy to inform everyone that the Cubs/Pirates are on WGN. Cubs up 1-0 in the 2nd.

Nice job by Affeldt.

Arroyo either pitches great and gets no run support OR he looks like a AA pitcher and gets lit up. We can guess what today is.

He is on record of saying he is a not a big fan of pitching during the day. I had a feeling he was going to look bad today.

Score??

Score??

5-2 Phils, 2 on, 2 out and Bako has a 348 pitch at bat, but grounds out. End of inning.

Going to the 7th.

End of 7, 5-2 bad guys.

In a side note, Reds favorite pitcher, Dumatrait, has come in relief for the Pirates in the top of the 3rd. Cubs up 4-0.

ESPN has him down for one.

So does MLB.com

You're not going to get a 15 game winner with an ERA under 4 in the 4th spot in your rotation. I'll bet there wasn't one in all of MLB last year.

Problem is, starting the season, Arroyo is a number two for the Reds. Yes, Cueto and Volquez looked great, but Bronson was the two men out of the gate.

Heck, there are not many starters in baseball under a 4 era anymore, much less a 4 spot. Regardless, he gives up way too many homers.

The Reds have to figure out a way to beat lefties. This "right" handed line-up they threw out there today ain't going to cut it. No power, Freel and Hopper? This is a down side to having two left handed first basemans on the roster.

Marty just told a story when he was in Chicago, he ripped Peter Cetera for leaving the band Chicago and called it a huge mistake leaving that great band.

Cetera heard about it and sent Marty a signed CD.

***Dumatrait came in and promptly gave up a bases clearing double. None of the 3 runs charged to him. I bet the Reds miss him a great deal.

^ I love when they start talking about anything and everything.

I know some people don't like that and wish they would focus on the game, but to me, it makes the broadcast more fun when they go off on random tangents.

Doesn't take a genius to know that baseball can be "tedious" to sit through at times.

We don't have to worry about watching the Cubbies, WGN just went down.:lol::lol:

Coffey got through the 8th without giving up any runs. :dancingpa

5-2 bad guys, bottom of the 8th.
