March 31, 200818 yr As a Titans fan, I'd be perfectly satisfied with a 5th or 6th round pick, because more than likely he's going to get cut...you might as well get a pick for him at the least. Great talent, no doubt, but not worth the trouble, IMO...nobody is. If they decided to keep him and it worked out, that would be great, but the odds of that happening would seem to be astronomical. Why take the chance? Trading Pac-Man for anything is not a stupid move from Tennessee's standpoint.

March 31, 200818 yr The trade is off right now. As said before they are asking for a 4th + something next year. It's all going to come down to him being reinstated. If he is then there is said to be up to 7 teams interested in trading for him. Dallas was smart trying to get him for cheap. The Titans were smart by not throwing him away for nothing. They are going to lose talent wise. The hope is some damage control by at least getting a little something for him.

He wasn't running hard, blocking or pretty much doing anything right. He said he got a call one night after a game and it was his old college coach on the other end. Coach Holtz said "are you OK I was really worried about you". Bettis said "I'm fine why are you asking?" Holtz said "Well I turned on the T.V. and there was some bum that stole your uniform and was pretending to be you". "This guy was really lazy though". Bettis said that night changed his life forever as far as his preperation and effort went.
