March 27, 200818 yr I think that you have to give the guy some time. Most of the time when there is change, there is problems. Look no further than UK basketball this year. We all praise the efforts of Bradley and Crawford, but I think we all know if those two weren't seniors and could have afforded to leave, they probably would have. With change comes new and different ways to do things. I say RR wins and wins big at the big house. Maybe not this year however.

March 27, 200818 yr Author There is a way to handle a staff change and a way to totally screw one up. Right now RR is going for the latter. Expect quite a few more players leaving by summer. One of the bolder estimates I've heard was there would be less that 60 scholarship players left by the start of the season...
March 27, 200818 yr He'll have to sit out a transfer year. Right now it looks like UC and OSU are the most likely options early... He is transfering to Campbellsville University and will be eligible right away..

I agree, anytime a player leaves any program it raises a Red flag but I would also have some concern about the players dedication. After all, he is quitting the program, the program didn't quit him.( in his mind it did) For some it is very easy to pack your bags and run away when things get a little tough. Everyone handles things differently and we don't know the whole story other than what we have read in his statement but are there other issues we are not hearing that forced him to have a change of heart? Whatever he decides,I hope he makes the decision that is best for his future.

Remember this is a hard core Michigan family. His younger brother will be fine without O$U. There is a very real chance he pays his way for one year in Cow Town, but it will not be as you suggested first. It's not official on Van Bergen yet, but it's likely at this point...

Van Bergen will not hurt like losing Boren is going to this year but the affect will hurt in a few years. He is also a Michigan boy and I am worried about in state recruiting at this point. The 2009 class is a very good one for the state of Michigan and it is imperative for RR to get off to a good start with the best talent in the state of Michigan. He has Will Campbell who is an absolute stud! but MSU is getting the rest. On a different note Boren leaving puts Cory Zirbel at the top of the depth chart. I still see one of the incoming freshmen getting the spot however, and it is never good to have freshman on your OL.

It seems to be a pattern that where ever he is turmoil always follows. The thing I had concern with was the statements about him being so true to the Michigan program and him being mentioned as a possible Buckeye. Those two things mentioned in the same sentence just don't seem right.:lol:
