My understanding is that 18 was requested by the kids that designed the ring but they were told there was no way to do it without making the green stones look unbalanced, whatever that means??

Yes it is. On the side where it says Trinity at the bottom is says 3-peat and below that is the number 18.

Oh yeah I see it. Thats cool. Too bad they couldn't go with the 18 shamrocks. That was a sweet idea.
