I think Mont Co will win the 10th Region.

 

But watch out for Mason Co Lady Royals in the 39th District. I predict they will win it.

 

They have alot of very good young players coming back along with K. Menke.

These young players will be talented and good in the future, but not really next year, IMO. These girls, with the exception of Menke, didn't receive enough playing time. I'll predict that they will win the district title again, because there is not much in their district, but it could be a close one because St. Pat returns pretty much everyone, and Bracken County will return some nice players too. Mason County won't be the powerhouse they have been in years past. Like mcpapa said in another thread....they graduated around 7,000 points. I'd say every bit of 75% is what the three seniors scored of Mason County's points. More than one player is going to have to step up out of this young bunch, and I just don't see that happening next year.

 

Montgomery is still the team to beat in the 10th. They lost Prewitt out of the starting 5, but return Mckenzie Lee and Jelik, and some other very nice players.

Once again the 40th will be the toughest. Montgomery will again probably win the region, Clark County came on strong towards the end of this season and have the Rogers coming back. While Paris graduated 4 of 5 starters, they still have a nice player in Emily Hinkson who could very well be 1st team All Region, along with a young core of players on the JV team who nearly ran over the competition this year. Only Bourbon will be down, but I still look for the other 3 to be in the top 5 of the region all year.

In the 48th I think it will be a re-match of the past three years that being Southwestern vs Wayne County. Both teams have had pretty much the same roster for the past three years. Always a good hard fought game when these two meet. Probably one of the most rivalry games in the 12th Region IMO.

8th region will not change much.

 

1) Simon Kenton--Tolliver and other good players return

2) Anderson County--3 solid players returning with Lindsay Fultz

3) Shelby County---always reload

4) South Oldham--strong JV team

5) Oldham County---lots of talent for a new coach

 

Favorites to win the Class A should be Williamstown (lost 1 starter), Owen County (lost 2 starters and had a solid JV team) and Gallatin County (did not lose any players).

12th Region is WIDE open next season. Rockcastle/Lincoln will be early favorites. Casey will still be a very competitive team. Southwestern could be very good also.

 

Rockcastle only loses Sarah Rowe (as far as I know). She was a GREAT player and will be sorely missed. If I am not mistaken (again ) she won 3 Regional championships in her tenure. Rockcastle has 3-4 VERY good Freshmen this year that will be even better as Sophomores. Mary Saylor and Katie Mattingly will be Seniors.

 

Lincoln only loses one starter from a very good team, and I think Casey County only loses 2 starters. The 12th Region will be FUN.

37th Campbell. They return some good talent.

39th Depends on whom the new coach at Mason and Bracken is. Too early to make that call.

40th. Montgomery

Montgomery once again the team to beat in the 40th and the 10th....

 

GRC will be good, but interested to see how they replace Montgomery inside....

 

Bourbon losses just about everyone.... rebuilding year... Elizabeth Stamper needs to step into a key role....

 

Paris losses a ton as well.. Emily Hinkson will be the glue....

63rd district and 16th region goes to the Lady RAMS IN 09

I've not heard anything about this. But if this is true than Southwestern is probably the sitting duck.
