I was looking on the Georgetown football website and it had its list of players they signed and Alex Mathews name was on it. I don't think this has been mentioned on here. Here is the link with the list of their signing class

Georgetown is lucky to have a fine young man like Alex. I don't know whether they'll move him or not, he is a very good QB and an outstanding person. Congrats, Alex!!

Matthews will be joined by his top two receivers, Coty Minnis and Jordan Burk.

Burk had 90 rec. for 1800+ yds and 18TDs. Minnis had 70 rec. for 1000+ yds and 18TDs.

What other position could/would he play besides quarterback?

 

My guess is Georgetown wants him as an exclusive quarterback prospect.

That is what they told Ammons Just don't be surprised if he finds a new spot. They have a ton of Qb's some of the best our state has seen the last 3 years. Simpson, Petrino, Ammons, now Matthews.
