Have you seen South play this year?

 

I have seen both teams play this year, of course I have seen Hazard about 4 times, but I think Hazard is about 10 pts better.

Seen them both [play at least 2 times each. Hazard has to much! Dawgs by 8.

this will be an interesting game, probably not the most exciting game but will be a good contest.

Just what I was thinking as well! If South loses we know who to blame...

Actually, I'm flip-flopping. After talking to Coach Holland today, I'm going with Hazard by nine.

Everyone was picking Corbin like this, too. I bet South is loving this.

Kind of interesting how these guys pick'em. Most people picked Corbin over South in the Regional Final even though South had a lopsided victory in the last regular season meeting at Corbin and won soundly in the District Final. I just read a note from a Hazard fan how thankful he was South beat Corbin in the Regional final because Corbin would give Hazard a better game. Just seems a little unusual that someone would rather play South than a team that South has beaten the last 3 meeting.

This is good matchup. Except for St. John(6'8") Hazard has a little more size. Both teams are athletic and like to take the ball inside as much as possible. Hazard probably likes to run a little more and South is a little more patient. Both teams have good depth off the bench but South probably uses theirs more consistently and gets a little more contribution in numbers. Hazard on the other hand again can bring a little more size off the bench and not drop off inside. Both Coach Wright and Coach Holland and their staffs s are experienced; been to state tounament multiple times and do an excellent job with their teams. Should be a great game!!!!!!

I don't know why everyone keeps saying Hazard has size there they will win. I'm sorry to tell you all with the way South presses I can't see size affecting South much. No one excepted South to get this far they did so it's not suprising South is not the favorite in this game either.

If you will recall Corbin had one of the lopsided victories against South as well. By the way, 3 points is hardly a sound win. It is a win, however. In the regional championship Corbin had SL down by 13 and on the ropes most of the game then they shot themselves in the foot. South is very beatable but anything can happen. That is why you play the ball game. Both teams better be ready to play . . . it is anybody's game.

South Laurel CANNOT press Hazard....Hazard is big and they have a 6'3 250lb 2-gaurd in Martin, he maybe the smartest PLAYER in the mountains.... I've seen every game the Bulldogs have played in the state and NO PRESS has slowed Whitaker down..... And I've seen South 2 times, their press won't do anything.......

Wow a 6'3 250 lb. guard (he sounds like a pulling guard) not a 2-guard, no wonder no press slows down Whitaker he opens holes for him to run to daylight!:scared: I for one would no want to take a charge from him.
