The Houston Rockets are on a 19 game winning streak, tied for the 3rd longest winning streak in NBA history. 5 of the 6 teams holding winning streaks this long, as said on ESPN, have won their division championship, as well as the NBA finals. Interesting.

12 of the 19 was with Yao. Still it is pretty impressive that they have won 7 more without him. With that being said no way do they get past the Lakers, Suns, or Spurs. I would even add the Mavs to that list as well.

That's what teams have been saying for almost 20 straight games :D "They wont get past us"

I agree though. A 7 game series favors L.A. and S.A.

When I opened this I thought it was going to be another "Hate on the Patriots" thread...

They've beaten the Mavs without Yao in this 19-0 run.

I was hoping that someone missed the super bowl and wanted to know who won. :irked:

Haha, I didn't even think about that until someone else said something about it in this thread.

And the Mavs were without Dirk that game ;)

You sure? I could of swore that he played. Oh well, they still beat them. I don't care who you beat, to win 19 games in a row is pretty darn amazing.

2 words: Dikembe Mutumbo...

The Rockets are a better team without Yao!

He was suspended that game for the flagarant foul the game before.

On a side note, did anyone see Richard Jefferson get T'd for "taunting" Deke giving his little finger wave back to him when he dunked on him? I don't know that I disagree, but I think it may be a little bit hypocritical that they don't T Deke when he does it 4 times a game but give one to an opponent when he gives it right back to him...

Their next 2 gmas are against the Lakers and Celtics, both of whome have a dominant big man. The steak will end in the next 2.

Deke was T'd up the first game after Yao's injury. For doing the "finger wave"....

It is a Technical Foul if he does it towards another player, not if he does it up towards the crowd...
