Kevin Galloway Vebals To UK

Featured Replies

Will certainly make match ups with guys like Devan Downey, Chris Warren and Jai Lucas very interesting. Speed vs size on full display...

Long arms like Jasper has can cover for speed, sometimes. It will be interesting and the coaching strategy of speed vs. size.

UK fans will hate me comparing them to UL.

Agreed, Liggins seems questionable. Good work by Gillispie to get a quick fix in case Liggins doesn't make it in.

Agreed. Liggins has all the talent in the world, but after several tries, I'm not sold this is the year he gets in...

If he doesn't get in, does he go JUCO? Is he a prep school senior right now or a fifth-year prep kid?

Also, if you go JUCO, do you have to stay two years or can you leave after one?

Downey has shown he can make size pay with speed. With the current makeup of the UK roster next year, it will indeed be a point of concern for both sides every night...

Liggins is a 6th year prep right now if my notes are right. He's 20 and going to be 21 as a FROSH.

Guys have made it D1 with only 1 JUCO year, but they are few and far between...

Good lord, 21 years old? How many times has he taken the test?!

Harris shut Downey down in the second meeting. 9pts 3a 4 to

Word is Galloway chose UK over Memphis and UT. Word is that he's been committed for a month but didn't want to come out with it until the Juco season was over.

Does that eliminate Hopson?

And in the first meeting UK threw the kitchen sink at him and he went off. Going big on the perimeter has it's fair share of ups and downs from night to night. If it is Liggins, Galloway and Jasper on the roster it's an interesting dynamic in terms of match ups. Nothing more, nothing less...

He should bring a lot of maturity to the Cats.:walk:

You're right about the first game. He's going to get his more nights than not. Just thought it was impressive that Harris could slow him down. Downey is probably the quickest guard I've ever seen.

He might be my favorite Bearcat that I have watched in my lifetime. I loved that season of watching him play.

And now he's hating life as his new team looks for a solid coach. Too bad it's not going well. I know there was a Spurier call to one of the candidates that was passed around as a joke on that staff. Clean livin' in the most sanctioned conference in the game... :p
