March 11, 200818 yr Liggins is a 6th year prep right now if my notes are right. He's 20 and going to be 21 as a FROSH. Guys have made it D1 with only 1 JUCO year, but they are few and far between... Deandre Liggins is 21 years old?
March 11, 200818 yr Not yet. He's close... Wow, so he is at a prep school, not in high school? He will still be able to play 4 years though, right?
March 11, 200818 yr Does that eliminate Hopson? No, Hopson plays the 2. Galloway is more of a point/combo.
March 11, 200818 yr Author Wow, so he is at a prep school, not in high school? He will still be able to play 4 years though, right? He's at a prep school in Vegas. If he can finally make the grade he will have 4 years at UK...
March 11, 200818 yr No, Hopson plays the 2. Galloway is more of a point/combo. Hopson can also play the 3. And in high school games he has some pretty decent post moves sometimes. I don't think he will try many of them in college though, but who knows.
March 11, 200818 yr He's at a prep school in Vegas. If he can finally make the grade he will have 4 years at UK... So right now he is having academic problems? Was he not good enough out of high school to play college? Is that why he's at a prep school. Thanks for your answers btw.
March 11, 200818 yr Author Galloway is a 1 or a 3. Projecting him at the 2 is not wise. The 2 is all Meeks next year if healthy, and there will be plenty of guys that can play out top or on the wing. Right now I'll take the safe route and say scoring dips while the defensive performance improves. I also hold the right to revisit in 6 weeks...
March 11, 200818 yr Author So right now he is having academic problems? Was he not good enough out of high school to play college? Is that why he's at a prep school. Thanks for your answers btw. He was always a big talent, and he always had qualification issues. I'll believe it's resolved when I see it...
March 11, 200818 yr What spot is Miller projected at? As a freshman, my guess is starting bench warmer. He probably won't see a lot of minutes next year. But I see him playing the 3 spot.

He compares Galloway to Penny Hardaway and says he is a definite Pro.
March 11, 200818 yr Author Hey GT, how much do you take in of what MM says? He compares Galloway to Penny Hardaway and says he is a definite Pro. I know Marc pretty well, and we cross paths here and there. I think he has better UK contacts than anyone out there, and that includes missing as often as you hit in this business. Galloway looks like a guy you want on your team. Hard to find any fault in that...

March 11, 200818 yr From this commit, it looks like BCG is probably not convinced of Liggins qualifying either. Speaking of, do you think Liggins regrets not going straight to JUCO if he is indeed a 6th year prepper and does not qualify now either. I believe someone above asked where Miller projects, and that is at the 3. I still say Billy is looking at getting two more, even if Liggins does qualify. He needs that perimeter scorer and a big guy to go in this class. In all honesty, this commit could mean someone gets run off.
