From what I have read in the blogs, the "Democrat" reference was originally in the third paragraph of the AP story, it was removed in a subsequent version, and reappeared in a later edition.

 

I agree with you about Spitzer's daughters. The media needs to keep them out of the coverage of this scandal.

As I put in my email, kids can be very vicious at that age and there is no reason to put their faces on a national newscast about this.

Elliot Spitzer is not a nice guy. I was being sarcastic.

 

It should now be obvious to all by now what a hypocritical jerk Time Magazine's former "Crusader of the Year" really is. I wonder how many Johns and prostitutes Spitzer sent to jail to claw his way into the New York Governor's mansion.

Has it occurred to anybody else what a gift this story is to Obama's campaign. The story:

 

• diverts attention away from the corruption trial of Obama's friend Tony Resko;
   
  
• reminds voters that Spitzer has endorsed Hillary Clinton; and
   
  
• also reminds Democrats of Hillary's waffling on the driver licenses for illegal aliens, which was sparked by Spitzer's plan to begin issuing such licenses a couple of months ago.

I don't normally use the rolling eyes icon. I try to either avoid sarcasm or make it heavy to the point that an icon would be overkill - but I will make an exception in this case.

He implied this is a victimless crime and no way the governor in charge of enforcing the laws that he just broke should lose his job.

By saying victimless crime he means that it does not threaten the rights of others. :thumb:

 

And I agree for the most part. He is helping put people in jail for doing the same things he was taking part in. If it were legal to solicit prostitution, then technically it wouldn't be a problem for him to do so. However, it is not legal and he is in fact breaking the law. Therefore, he should be punished just as any normal person would be.
