Not the favorite until they can prove they can move the ball. 7 points in the last 10 qtrs. of the year. Barely 20 points scored after Joe went down. Talent is there, just has to be seen to be believed! Defense was phenomenal at the end of the year, even with Joe out, but O is still a big question.

 

What do LC and W'burg's playoff numbers look like? I would venture to guess that they are not all that different. District titles numbers go to Williamsburg. Region title and Region apperances go to the Cats, I think. W'burg probably noses out a victory in tradition, but not by much.

I think this is one of the best 1A districts in the state. Toss up this season between Lynn Camp, Williamsburg, and Campbellsville.

I do not think Berea will be apart of the district untill 2009.

I think they kind of wanted to but with 2 year rotation and contracts no way they could let them. It would be impossible for LC , Wburg and Cville to fit into schedule unless they bought out of contracts witn non district teams.

This district will be very good and I can see non district games playing a big roll in tie breaker again. No way would I rule out a 3 way tie for 1st again.

They will be fine. I think Whitley looms larger on their schedule than the new Harlan County. You gotta think Whitley will have retribution on their mind for the embarrasing blow out Lynn Camp handed them. Not to mention it is a rivalry game. This to me is one of the most interesting games in the mountains this year.

Harlan County is going to be loaded with speed next year. I can think of 6 or 7 kids off the top of my head that will be 4.7 or better for the bears. That is great speed for a team in the mountains.

I think Harlan will give Lynn Camp all they can handle, but Lynn Camp vs. Whitley is an annual rivalry game and means so much to so many. Last year Lynn Camp blew Whitley's doors off with their running game. I know that has got to be in the back of the Whitley County players and coaches minds during the off season. I look for this to be one of the best games in the mountains this year. I can't wait to go to this one.

I think Lynn Camp was the most physical team besides Bell, that the Colonels played last year. I stand by what I said earlier, about Joe getting hurt, by far the best team in the district with him. That just shows what a difference one player can make at that level. I do think that they will be very good, but I think he will be very difficult to replace.

Im very Excited about this years Lynn Camp Wildcats. Last years defensive was one of the Best I've seen since watching the cats and they return 8 starters . The entire offensive line returns, I was amazed what that young group was able to do last year. Jonah Mitchell should be Under Center with Sid Wagner and Wes Steele in the back field. Joe is hard to replace but I also remember saying that when Quenton Henson, Dusty Brock, Jimmy Chaffin and Josh Reynolds Graduated. I think Coach Mitchell must have a Running Back Factory or farm somewhere. As far as Lynn Camp being tough they have always been a very tough and physical team. Most kids play offese, defense, and special teams with very little substitution if any.

Went over to the field today. Good numbers out early. Kids appear to have worked well over the winter. A few new faces and a few old ones return. We're going to have a HUGE front 5. Don't know what to expect yet, but the elements are there to have a good year.
