I forgot they made a rubics cube until I was flipping through the boomerang network the other day for my little girl and the cartoon was on. I never did solve one. Two sides was about all I remember doing until I peeled the stickers off and stuck them back on:) That's crazy Statman!

We used to race in study hall when I was in high school. My best time back then was somewhere under 40 seconds and one guy actually did it in about 20 flat. Once you figure it out the patterns are the same each time. You just have to know when to use each one. I would think the DIY cube you got will end up helping tremendously. We used to put baby powder on ours to help them spin better.

I'm going to be ordering cube lube on Friday so that will hopefully help me spped things up. The best part of the DIY cube is you can two top corner pieces plus the edge piece between them out, pop off the cap to the center piece, put the corners and edges back in and then use a screwdriver to adjust the tension on that side. I've done it a bunch of times already and still can't find the correct one for each side for my preference.

I just got 1:36.53 maybe 20 minutes ago.

Once I get the Fridrich method figured out, it should be long before I get to under a minute.

I still to this day can't solve it. I get so mad I just want to throw it threw the window.

If you or anyone else on here has one that they don't want anymore, I'll gladly take it off your hands....lol. I'm addicted to the cubes now. Once you learn how, you actually notice that it isn't hard to do.

46 seconds is my personal best.

I'm hoping to be there in the coming weeks. It is just taking me a little longer remembering all the algoriths for the Jessica Fridrich Method and doing school work. If I had another week like last week (Spring Break for NKU) then I might be able to learn it quicker but school work does have to come first.

The only methods I know are what I call top-bottom-middle and top-middle-bottom. I do top-bottom-middle.

I'm at 15 years right now, and counting.
