Well it is actually called Cube Lube....LOL. I bought the stuff anf my DIY Cube from a guy out in Hawaii. He's a really quick shipper. The Cube Lube comes in a syringe and is a silicone-based lube. I made the mistake of thinking it was a thick substance when it is actually a pretty thin one so a little goes a LONG way. One syringe would last about 10-12 uses if I hadn't squirted out too much and made it run out all the openings of my cube but it was pretty easy to clean up. For those of you that have a dirty mind....stop laughing....LOL.

I'm super excited!!!!! :dancingpa :banana: :dancingpa :banana: And to prove to those of you that might not believe me, I took a print screen of the online timer and made it into a picture small enough to fit on here. Now I know that I have said that I would stop after getting a sub-1 minute time....well I might have fibbed a tad bit. I'm going to keep working at this and after finals week here in two weeks, I'll be practicing for a couple hours a day in order to get my time to around a 30-45 second average. If I can do that, then I'm going to enter into a WCA (World Cubing Association) tournament over in Cincinnati on May 31.

I get mine from PuzzleProz on Ebay. The stuff works great and I think he only charges about $2 ber syringe. I've got 2 of them of if you're ever around NKU's campus and I'm here, I don't care to meet up with you and let you try mine out to see if you like it so you can decide if you want to buy some of it. I'd also recommend buying a DIY cube from that guy as well.

April 24, 200818 yr Author WOW that is quick. Have you changed methods or are you still using the layers method? I'm using an intuative version of the Fridrich Method to get the F2L solved but then I'm still using the beginner's method to solve the last layer. There are SO many algorithms to remember for the OLL and PLL steps that it's taking me a while to get them due to taking 15 hours of classes a week and having a boatload of homework. I only get to practice solving about 30-45 minutes a day but if you're ever walking around NKU, you'll see me with my cube doing finger trick trying to get faster times but I don't count that as practice since I'm only doing it while I walk to each class instead of listening to music like some people do.
April 24, 200818 yr Author Oh and a couple good cubing websites are http://www.cubewhiz.com and http://www.rubiktime.com. The first is Bob Burton's site showing you all the different algorithms for the Jessica Fridrich method....he also has a set of videos on there for beginners for those of you that can't solve one. The second is the timing site that I use. It gives you a different scramble after each solve.

May 2, 200818 yr Author Stat, Don't let him fool you, he's pulling off the colors to complete it. :lol: The funny thing is that I get accused of taking my DIY cube apart and putting it back together to get the times that I get but when I show people that I can solve it faster than taking it apart and putting it back together, they realize that I'm not joking....LOL. I have had many people stop me on campus and ask my if I can solve it or not since I usually walk around with one in my hand trying to do finger tricks so I have to hand them the cube so they can scramble it and then I solve it. It really isn't that hard to do once you know how. It's just taking the time to learn how to do it. If someone is willing to sit in front of their computer for about 45-60 minutes, they'd be able to do it.
