Dixie beat Conner in the opening game of the season 57-46 and then 57-42 in the Kenton Co tournament midway through the tournament.

 

Can Dixie beat Conner 3 times or will the Cougars pull the slight upset on their home floor?

Conner needs above average performances from 3-4 guys beyond Thomas and Pugh - similar to what they got in the Boone game. When they don't get that - such as the St. H. game - it's going to be tough for them. Even at home, I just don't see them putting together another performance like Boone, so I'll go with Dixie by 8.

See Covcath in 05 when Conner knocked them off on their home floor when Covcath was #1. I believe they also beat Holmes (#2 at the time) in OT to end the regular season in OT that year as well. (?) Also Hicks has had his team in the district championship the past 3 years despite being the underdog each year.

2004 lost first round

2005 lost in finals

2006 lost in first round

2007 lost in first round

I don't understand the tough out comment either.

Although the region tournament history doesn't show it, Jim Hicks always has Conner ready for tournament time. Just look back to '05 when Conner upset Cov Cath who was then #1. Although they have not made it far in the tournament, they always give teams very tough games.
