321-good Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 Big win for Bell. With all they lost from last year Lewis Morris should be COY.
ST5 Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 Lewis Morris shows why he is one of the better coaches in SEKY. Congrats to the Bobcats!!
YoungBlood Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 Big win for Bell. With all they lost from last year Lewis Morris should be COY. Coach Morris had an excellent game plan tonight and his kids executed. Congrats to Bell!
Region13 Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 Wow that is a huge win for the Bobcats!! Now just imagine 2 of the winners from the other districts will have the luck of drawling Corbin or Cumberland.. Boy is this going to be an exciting 13th region tournment!
Leonidas Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 Lewis Morris shows why he is one of the better coaches in SEKY. Congrats to the Bobcats!! Totally agree.:thumb::thumb: Did not get to make it down but talked to a few that attended. Said Morris' gameplan was excuted well by the young bobcats. C'land had a hard time adjusting to the switching defenses Bell ran. Also Bell really ran their sets and plays well. Also said Johnson for the skins was the real deal but their guard play really struggled. I think this is the 10th or 11th district title in a row? What will be the excuse now?:fire::fire::fire:
wideopen Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 I would still like to see Cumberland post Johnson more on the block
YoungBlood Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 I would still like to see Cumberland post Johnson more on the block I've been saying the same thing all year! Johnson and Willson both!
lungbuster Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 I've been saying the same thing all year! Johnson and Willson both! Ditto!
bellalumni40 Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 Great win for the Bobcats. Nobody wants to be the team to break the streak of District Championships. What is the C'Land excuse this time?
tropiclighting Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 No excuse, they got beat by a better team last night. Johnson and Wilson are in the post 80% of the time, but they have nobody who can get it to them. And teams double and triple team them, and make their guards make shots, and they don't make them. They actually got back in the game when he went outside. Why doesn't anyone want to see Miller from KC in the paint more, he is bigger and stronger than Johnson? Just wondering.

I did not see Johnson in the post 80% of the game. I would say 80% of his shots came from 15 to 20feet out on the floor. I know he made several of those shots, but Bell did not have a player who could guard him on the post.

I wanted to see Cumberland win just as bad as anyone. However, I didn't see Johnson in the post 80% of the time. If people are going to double and Triple team the blocks as you say, then at least two people are not guarded on the outside. Why not just stand their and make them guard you out on the floor. When and if they do feed the post. If they don't win the game 2 to 0. Cumberland IMO tries to feed the post and then will just settle for the outside shot. In high school basketball, you have to attack the basket, then attack the basket some more and get to the foul line. Thats why 90% of the time a team with a good point guard can carry a team to big wins. Now, I am not a coach but boy it is easy to sit in the stands and second guess your team. I just think Cumberland didn't play very well that night. Hopefully, the can come back and make a run at this region crown. Go Skins!

I said in the prediction thread C'lands lack of PG play would get them beat.
