No player from Bell could guard Johnson, but the team did a decent job. It is a team sport. I said in the prediction thread C'lands lack of PG play would get them beat.

 

I agree that Bell had a nice game plan and executed it pretty good. The PG from Cumberland IMO is a good ball player. He handles the ball well and can run the team. He is an outstanding defensive player and I like his intensity. I wouldn't care a bit to have him as PG on my team. All I was saying is that I would tweak his game to attack the basket more and then do it more and then continue to do it some more. I think Cumberland from 1 thru 6 are as good as anyone in the region. Cumberland, Middlesboro and Jackson Co. are very talented. Again, just my opinion.

I agree with you about attacking the basket. But, holding the ball is not as easy as it seems. The defense usually puts enough pressure on the ball to make you pass, and their guards turn the ball over to much. IMO you need guards to win in the post season. Their guards are gritty and tough, but don't seem to be good decision makers. But, maybe thats why they have to play good defense. Like you said Lungbuster, it's always easy second guess coaches and players from the stands. Only if those coaches would listen to us. lol..

:thumb: I think the biggest thing to look for when wondering how good your coach is, is to look at defense. Cumberland plays great defense and I also think the coaches do a good job. Yeah, they need to listen to me because I haven't lost a game coaching from the stands. lol Good luck Skins.
