There are lots of things to blame politicians for...but I don't think they deserve the blame, or at least all the blame for this.

 

Honestly, like so many other issues of the day, most boils down to the personal choices of the individual American. It also boils down to accepting personal responsibility for the choices one makes. From a realistic perspective, we are not "victims" if we consent to the "crime" against us.

Nice to see it's high on the agenda in Washington... maybe someone should tell him were still in Iraq too.

He's so out of touch. Agree though that when you elect an oil man to the Presidency its comparable to having a fox guarding the hen house. By the way, they are already paying $4.00 a gallon in San Mateo, California.

IMO, the only way to lessen the price of fuel (oil, gas), is to develop alternative fuel sources, and decrease demand. Unfortunately, Americans are not willing to decrease demand. That's no one's fault but their own.

Just mark me down with RTS.....and you also ! But I do beleive they should permit drilling in some of the U.S. that is sitting idle. What are we saving that for ? The oil people intend to keep their profit margins up, so even if we cut consumption I think we are still going to pay. Their new claim for increased cost is due partly to "reformulation". I agree, reformulation of their profit margins! I have cut down on driving as it is, the little 30 - 60 mile drives just for fun , are not so fun anymore! Make no mistake about it, it's no longer about shortages, it's about profit. I do think our government should do something about it. Maybe that's the answer>>:walk::walk::walk::walk::walk:

Gas is already at about $4.25 in the San Fran area.
