February 28, 200818 yr I had completely forgot about Fleetwood Mac and Springsteen/East St. band when I posted my list earlier, they would definately make my list. Plus, I don't really care to make seperate list and I think that there is anything wrong with those that have posted what they want even if a solo artist is the main name, they still recognize their band in the title......ex: Springsteen and the East St. band. IMO that is just fine and I certainly don't need anyone to tell me how to read a thread.

The band is called The E Street Band, by the way.
February 28, 200818 yr Like The Flying Burrito Brothers, for example. Most definitely. Thanks! :thumb: "This old town's/filled with sin/it'll swallow you in/if you've got/the money to burn"

I disagree to a point Shoe. Even though not a big Springsteen fan, IMO he is still part of a band. Sure it is his own band but without the E Street band Springsteen wouldn't be the same. Same with Petty and the Heartbreakers. Without Mike Campbell on lead guitar coming up with all those killer riffs then many of us may have never heard of Petty. IMO a solo artist would be someone as Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, etc.

Bottom line, it's Springsteen's musical vision, and the rest of them follow his lead (well, I might add, but the fact remains). He is not part of the band, or it would just be billed as "The E Street Band," with no need for his name out front. Petty has done quality work away from The Heartbreakers as well. Early on in their careers, it was billed as "Johnny Cash and The Tennessee Two" and "Bob Dylan and The Band."
