This should be a very good game. Rivals, both well coached, good players, loyal fans. I do not think the Colonels have a match up to keep Sorrell under 20. He might go off for 30. Cov. Cath. checked Giwa in Latonia during the regular season. If Giwa gets hot and Cov. Cath. is not hitting the 3's, the Colonels could be one and done. Otherwise, Cov. Cath. should win by high single or low double digits.

This game will draw a huge crowd. I doubt the field house will be cleared in between games, so with the Holmes fans staying after to catch the game, and most likely cheering for HC, I look forward to seeing the Colonel Crazies out in full fource down at the field house in Cov. Great atmosphere for a high school game.

This could be the year that HC gets to the REgional tourney. I hate to say it but I can see an upset. Sorrell going for 30 and a 2 pt victory for the INdians.

When was the last time anyone had to say this? Maybe Jack Jennings, but I doubt it. Probably that Draud kid, I heard he was pretty good. Congrats to Corey, in a year of some really, really good players, you've excelled.

Even with the above post, I'll take CovCath in this one. They have some of the really good players I was referring to.

 

Reminds me a bit of another Corey who played football this year for Boone County. Also a great player, who led his team a long way, but too many other schools in NKY have too many weapons.

Surprised so many taking HC. With that said they have the shooters chance at the upset, the shooter being Sorrel. I still think Cov Cath wins this game would have been really interesting if Mike Sullivan of HC didn't break his hand at the beginning of the year as he would have been their third option.

I just think if you give CCH as much time as they have had to prepare to stop one, maybe two guys, that they will be able to get the job done.

This will be one of the best if not the best atmosphere for 9th region basketball. If HC can keep the colonels three game in check, they have a shot. Should be a barn burner.

No I don't think so, he has not played all year long, but would have definitely been their third option if he made it back.

Key to this game will be whether or not HC can defend the 3 ball. If they can. and Sorrell gets hot, HC could possibly pull off an upset. IMO Sorrell would have to drop 40+ for HC to win though.
