I'm sure it's okay to believe Hillary when she says something good about FNC, but anything else she says in her campaign is considered a lie by most anti-Hillary people. :lol:

However you try to make it seem like Democrats/Liberal supporters are the only ones who have these shady tactics, and that is simply not true. It happens on both sides whether you like it or not.

The New York Times has run afoul of its own public ombudsmen that it considered eliminating the position a few years ago. The McCain smear was only the latest case in which the ombudsmen found fault with the Times' behavior.

 

However, this thread is about Obama and there is as much reason for the NYT to investigate allegations against him as there is to imply that McCain had an affair with a lobbyist nine years ago. That will not happen and the NYT management will continue to wonder why it loses subscribers every day and why it can no longer employee as many people as it once could.

When one major candidate makes charges against another major candidate it is news. FNC has given all of the major candidates of both parties plenty of air time to make and respond to charges made by the other candidates. That is exactly what the media is supposed to do.

 

When a major newspaper digs up a nine-year old rumor, intentionally omits facts to damage a candidate and runs it on the front page it does qualify as a hit piece. All but the most ardent Democratic partisans have criticized the NYT for the McCain story. To wit:

I make this post only to set the record straight. Senator McCain did not include in his letter what we hoped he would.

 

In the spring of 2000, I was quoted in the Washington Post stating that fact or something close to it when this story was first written - I believe shortly after Senator McCain had defeated then Governor Bush in the 2000 New Hampshire Primary.

 

I repeated that fact to a Washington Post reporter several weeks ago. I never heard from the New York Times, even though, as just stated, I was on-the-record in 2000 with the Post. Yet neither newspaper, for whatever reason, included that fact in either story.

My interpretation of the article is that the polygraph results indicate that Sinclair made up the allegations against Obama, but it did not give enough details about what parts of the test indicated deception. It sounds like Sinclair pocketed money for taking the polygraphs and was hoping to pass the tests and collect another $100,000 but he failed.
