1977 Henderson County High School

 

This was the first year of the merger of the city and county school system into the large school it is now. Henderson City was going to have a really good team. Lots of tension and Mojo Holloway molded a championship team out of those kids. Lost to Trintiy in the state championship game on a fake field goal 28-24.

 

3 - 1000 yard rushers with a 4th just missing the 1000 yard club after missing several games with a broken thumb.

Highlands Bluebirds back when they had Jared Lorenzen.. Probably one of the best high school football teams in KY. ever.

2006 Johnson Central squad. Completed only the 2nd undefeated season in school history along with only its 2nd District Title. Won the first ever Regional Title and lost to eventual State Champ Cov. Cath. One of the best Linebacking cores I have ever seen. Definately not a dull moment during that season.

Old Lynch High school. Never watched them but have heard they could have beaten UK! lol

"Undefeated regular seasons" I agree that the 2006 Golen Eagles were a special team.

Must not have watched the 1990 Tomcats .......Or the 1988 team.....Arliss was what he was....A great player on sub-par teams.

 

Arliss Beach was without a doubt one of the best runners in Tomcat history. The '90 team, with the backfield they had, was unstoppable and cannot be compared with any team that I have seen since then.

2000 and 2001 Danville Admirals tied...

I grew up in Ashland and really never heard about their team.
