February 20, 200818 yr Never have cared very much for pro basketball. Too much 'clear out' for the star, one-on-one basketball. Just watchng Kobe and Iverson's 'all-about-me' game is enough to tune me out. However, I haven't watched it in the last few years...maybe it's changed.
February 21, 200818 yr I have never considered myself a "big fan" of the NBA, but this year I have started to follow it more. The trades in the last few weeks have made it even more interesting.

I have felt the same exact way, never really got into pro basketball because of the lack of defense and so much one-on-one. For me it's always been college and pro football and college basketball, but I would love for the NBA to appeal to me at some point in my life. Hopefully it is back.

February 21, 200818 yr Sorry, still find the NBA about as compelling as watching paint dry. Are you serious? Have you watched the NBA lately? The games are much more interesting as a whole, of course there are exceptions. The Western Conference is loaded with top teams and top talent. The Celtics, Pistons and Cavs are legitimately good teams in the East, the Raptors and Golden State home crowds are insane, teams are actually making trades with THIS season in mind instead of the cap and the future. Chris Paul, Steve Nash, Jason Kidd, Baron Davis, Deron Williams, Tony Parker as possible playoff point gaurd matchups! Amare, Shaq, Gasol, Bynum, Duncan, Boozer, Yao, West, Camby battling it out in the paint. Garnett/Allen/Pierce vs the Detroit "5" vs the Lebron's in the East. Iverson, Kobe, Anthony, McGrady, Jackson, Manu filling up stat sheets! I can't remember a time in the past 10 years that have been this fun in Pro Basketball.

The one factor I have no heard discussed is the fact that the West teams will be in a blood bath to reach the finals while the eventual East winner will more than likely only face 1 really tough series unless they get a tough draw somehow. I believe this could play a part in the outcome.

It's a different game in the NBA, but you've got the best of the best out there. And man are they good! I watched the Suns / Lakers game tonight, thanks mostly to DVR, but it was exciting. I love Shaq Diesel & Amare. Add that to the fact that they're going up against Kobe & the Lakers, and I'm in. Not a big Kobe fan, but you've got to appreciate his ability to play the game.
