12th Region Champs?

Wayne lost one senior last year that did not play a total of 10 minutes all year. I was at the game and every game for the past several years including the first Wayne/Southwestern game. I can probably tell you more about each offense and defense that Southwestern runs than most of your fans for that matter.:thumb:

You probably could! I'm not going to dispute that. But this isn't the same Cardinal team that was playing a year ago. I don't know if they have peaked or what but seems to me that they aren't playing the Wayne Co. basketball that i'm used to.

Wayne lost more than one senior from last years squad. They lost the girl who transferred to Somerset. She was there only inside presence. Wayne will not win the region. It will be Casey or Lincoln.

Thats true oldballcoach. The other poster pointed out seniors. I dont like to discuss the other player as I am still kinda raw about that deal.

Wayne and SW split this year, so its obvious anyone could beat the other on a given night. It should be an interesting regional tournament.

Casey Co. going to the region as a runner-up will not win the region. They let a little sophomore score 20 points against them in the finals. Like I've said before, speed kills!

If you were referring to the Rockcastle game, it was a Freshman and she was a reserve :D

She also scored 24.

As far as the region champion goes, anything can happen on any given night. Just ask the McCreary Central boys team after they lost to the Southwestern team.

The whole point is you can't take anybody lightly because once you do, your season will be over.

How many did she have the first two games? What about an eight grader who had 11 rebound and 8 points against Rock? Game before that she had 18 points and 13 rebounds against Rock. Rock is a very good team but it is going to take someone every night to step up because Sarah Rowe needs help. :dancingpa

Kristy Noble is a great coach and you can bet she will have her Rockets ready to play.

Rockcastle has a cake walk to the regional finals wile Lincoln,Wayne and Casey have to slug it out in the top of the bracket.

I think Rockcastle will have to play one of their best games of the year to beat Danville. They are very quick and athletic. I look for it to be less than 5 points either way.

I am sure that Southwestern, Danville and Mercer county like being called cakes.

Rockcastle will not have a cakewalk. They have a very good chance, but basketball more than any other sport can produce upsets.

Casey County and Lincoln County game Friday night will we a great game to watch. I go with Casey by 3.

Lincoln County will beat Southwestern by 5 points for regional championship.
