I'm used to going in September, not during the crazy period. There are some other grocery stores nearby, if you have the transportation.

There's a Winn-Dixie, or something along those lines, on the west side down beyond the city pier.

Look for Mike's Diner just a little ways west of your motel. Doesn't look like much but the foods good at a decent price. Also Scampy's is good and Sonny's BBQ is really good. I'll ask my wife if she can think of some more good eats. Capt. Anderson's, good but pricey.

Also go down to St. Andrews State Park all the way to the east. Gives you a feel for native Fla. There used to be some really good snorkeling there also. But a hurricane a few years ago messed it up. I haven't been there in a couple of years so I don't know what it's like now.

I forgot to add something............I'm jealous. :irked:

It's great! The place we stay at every year is right next to the park entrence.

There's lots to do back in the state park. There's camping, biking, fishing, snorkling, swimming, boating, lots of nature, and a little bit of history. There's a real nice camp store and a dive shop in there too.

I would say when you visit it is relatively quiet then...how is it when the times is not during spring break weeks?

When I went this past summer our hotel wasn't the greatest in the world, but we still had a good time. If i was you PMIC I would stay somewhere that can accomadate you and your family comfortably!!!

I have a list of the Panama City hotels that will rent to Under 25 somewhere in the pile of papers on my desk.

Are there any hotels on that list down near Clearwater Beach?

I can't blame you..

It's me and my two buddies, so we really don't care what it looks like.

I have to admit I'm pretty jealous that I'm not going this year either...
