24smom Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Think the Highlands girls are at practice today??? Maybe they had to go to the gym after the loss last night. Anyone have details on this one?

cottonnash Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Think the Highlands girls are at practice today??? Maybe they had to go to the gym after the loss last night. Anyone have details on this one? Holmes took it to them. Highlands effort was not there, which is troubling considering it's tournament time. This game wasn't really close all night. Holmes has a very good team and if you dont come out and play them hard they'll beat you.
nkysportslegend Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 I knew Holmes had a good team but never would I have expected them to blow out Highlands.
Andtheheadcoach Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 according to the newspaper, the refs let them play, which favored a more aggressive and physical Holmes team. Coach Hill has the Dogs ready for tourney time...AGAIN!
*Jeanie* Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 I knew Holmes had a good team but never would I have expected them to blow out Highlands. Same here!
87Bird Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 I'd rather drop one now than in the regional. I'm sure Coach Richey will get them back in the groove.
Crunch-time Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 It's been mentioned a thousand times on this board; however, there is a huge burden that comes with being ranked #1 and getting so much attention. You have to come to play because you will take every teams best shot. Also, opponents will have higher energy and will play at a level that will even surprise them.
CHSalum07 Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Looks like were going to have a new #1. The Conner Cougars maybe
LHSFAN Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 I saw the report in the newspaper. Highlands must not have taken them seriously. I was at the game when Holmes played Ludlow a few nights before Highlands and they competed until the end. Holmes must have really wanted this one vs Highlands. Too bad Highlands though this was an easy win. I was really rooting for the bluebirds.
Crunch-time Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 I doubt if the rankings change much, if at all, since they both lost convincingly. I think the 3 top teams in the NKY polls lost (all by double-digits). This is the year that all of the polls should be tossed out the window.
paNDA Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Looks like were going to have a new #1. The Conner Cougars maybe Why Conner? I think they just got thumped too. Holmes knocked off number 1 so put them up there.
NCC06 Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Wow this is very surprising!!! As for the top spot I think that BC returns there
Crunch-time Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Notre Dame is probably the hottest team. They knocked off highlands and also Holmes by 30pts.
malachicrunch Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Notre Dame is probably the hottest team. They knocked off highlands and also Holmes by 30pts. They seem to be flying under the radar right now. Very dangerous.
