Does it mean that Greenup County is better because the beat Russell by three the first time. Both teams are down but very close. Does it really matter when both are ranked that low?

Weigh right in. You are making more sense than most.

I guess that just goes to show you how weak the 16th is this year if Boyd is the 8th best team it is really a sorry region. You are right there might not be anybody you could move ahead of them and Ashland is as bad as almost anybody under them. Sad times in the 16th region after the top 3 teams.

 

Cubster is right, you could say that about most regions. I'm not saying that the region is strong but I think Elliott, Rose Hill, and East are very quality teams in this region or any other region. I'm not saying they would win every region but they are quality teams that can play, especially Elliott. The 16th region will only improve over the next few years with Elliott, Rose Hill, East, and Fairview all having bright futures. I don't think Boyd has too much coming up but I bet Zornes will find the talent somewhere. Ashland has some good young players coming up soon and will be a force in the region again as usual. Greenup also has young very talented kids who will be very good if they get the coaching to develope them. I hope things stabilize soon in the Greenhouse for their sake. I'm not sure what Bath has coming up but I'll bet that Hicks did his homework before heading to Owensville. He has the Lions' community excited again for the team and that will bring the kids out to play. So, if you think that the 16th region is weak now....stay tuned because teams are on the rise!!

Raceland's win over Fairview tonight jusifies their place among the region top. Nice win for the Rams.
