3. EAST CARTER-BBake has an athletic bunch in Grayson

4. BATH COUNTY-Clemons showing he is in the region's elite players

5. RACELAND-Rams part of the strong small school contingent

6. FAIRVIEW-Rex has a strong bunch of young Eagles

7. ASHLAND-Tomcats now "flooded" with road games

8. BOYD COUNTY-King Roger will be a tough out in postseason

9. WEST CARTER-Comets have had a nice season

10. MORGAN COUNTY-Cougars have notched some wins

11. ROWAN COUNTY-Pettit makes them competitive

12. LEWIS COUNTY-Trying to find some consistency

13. FLEMING COUNTY-Have some wins

14. RUSSELL-Return of seniors have Devils gaining confidence

15. GREENUP COUNTY-Muskies have potential

16. MENIFEE COUNTY-Tough year for the "Fee

IMO Rose Hill and East Carter are really close but just a step behind Elliott County.

BTW, glad to see the Poll back there Cubster.

Thats kind of odd, the teams you would want to put ahead of them, they have beaten already, but that is your opinion.

 

It is a shame if you think they are so bad that Fairview couldnt draw them on the opening round of the Districts.:sssh:

 

BTW, Boyd even beat Ashland as well, which are ahead of them, so really they could even move up a spot.

I guess that just goes to show you how weak the 16th is this year if Boyd is the 8th best team it is really a sorry region. You are right there might not be anybody you could move ahead of them and Ashland is as bad as almost anybody under them. Sad times in the 16th region after the top 3 teams.

You can say that about several other regions once you get down to teams 8 to the bottom.

I agree.

 

Being down is one thing, but I do believe there is Parity in the 16th Region and that makes you excited as a Fan. There are always exciting games to watch and always close games, irregardless who is playing. (Well, with exception of some of Elliot's games.)

My comments were probably a bit harsh. There is nothing sad about kids playing hard and trying to compete with each other. After watching Boyd play it was just hard to imagine any team being that bad, but in their defense that is the first time I saw them play this year I hope it was their worst game of the season. Don't get me wrong I played in the 16th region and will always support the 16th region but teams are weaker this year than normal.
