Paintsville vs University Heights @ 3pm

 

Rose Hill vs Hazard @ 4:30pm

 

Any thoughts or predictions on both of the games? Games get under-way in less then four hours. I hope all four schools represent their district and school well.

I think Paintsville will defeat UHA in a close game today. I just think they're a little more balanced on offense, and have more kids that can handle and shoot the ball. And they're not a tall team, but they have a lot of 6'2 range guys that block out well and are rugged around the basket. UHA's Hopson takes moments that he seems to not be involved in the game, almost looking lazy. But when he takes a notion to exhibit a burst of energy he's something to behold. That's not a problem with his teammate, Edmonson. A little of his energy needs to rub off on Hopson. Hopson better not have a letup today...not against a Runyun coached team.

I believe Hazard will once again come out victorious and advance to the finals against Paintsville tomorrow!

UHA vs Rose Hill in the Finals.

I think that University Heights will squeak by Painstville. This game will definitely not be a blowout for either team. Scotty Hopson is a very hard player to stop. He can do just about anything out on the court and it is very difficult to match up with him. I will take University Heights by 3. As for the other game, I think Hazard should win this one. Rose Hill is also a very good team with two great players in Euton and Jackson. Hazard is a very strong team and to win this game they must hit free throws and shoot the ball better than last night. I will take Hazard by 7. I believe that the championship game will be between University Heights and Hazard. Best of luck to all four teams today! :thumb:

I don't think Hazard will have much trouble with Rose Hill. Hazard has height (6'6 Jones, 6'4 Warren, 6'3 Campbell) to offset Euton and Jackson. The Bulldogs are athletic and have a good bench. I believe Hazard wins this one by 12.

Paintsville vs. Hazard for the finals.

If Painstville tries to run up and down the floor with UHA, UHA will win by 10... If Paintsville is patient, plays a good half court defense, and takes good shots, I think they'll come out with a win...

Is the final game on TV?

I believe it will be Paintsville and Hazard in the Finals, an All Mountain Final. I have seen both of these teams and they are both very physical and very good. When the dust settles I think the Senior leadership of Paintsville will prevail in a classic battle.

UHO and Paintsville should be a very good one, a "you pick em'" type game imo. I am definately pulling for Paintsville.

I just think that Rose Hill is really "clicking" right now and on a roll.
