beleiveinblue54 Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 In no order.. Eric Gordon Chris Lofton Michael Beasley Jamont Gordon and either Roy Hibbert or Kevin Love I know it's hard to crunch it all into five, thoughts?
saint4 Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Chris Lofton Derek Rose Eric Gordan Michael Beasley Tyler Hansbourogh 3 freshmen, wow. I also really like Hibbert and Love, but I could not fit them in there.
beleiveinblue54 Posted January 31, 2008 Author Posted January 31, 2008 Times are changing Freshmen are coming in stronger and with a better knowledge of the game. Beasley is a STUD.
saint4 Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Times are changing Freshmen are coming in stronger and with a better knowledge of the game. Beasley is a STUD. Nowadays, it seems if like a player stays for a senior year, they are thought of as less talented, almost like something is wrong with them, instead of just having pride in their teams. Players think of it as a disgrace to play more that 1 or 2 years now.
gametime Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Can you guys miss the any more obvious choice? The best players are now playing in the NCAA, if even for only one year. Kobe, LeBron, KG, Amare and so on would have done the same...
HammerTime Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Sorry guys but Lofton is no where close to being a top 5 player in the NCAA.
TubbyCAT Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 I think there are 10 to 15 guys that you could take their names and throw them into a hat, then you could draw any of those names out and form a 5 person team that would be very successful! The NCAA is flat out loaded with talent!!! I really like Tyler Hansbrough, Michael Beasley, Kevin Love, Roy Hibbert, Eric Gordon, Derrick Rose, Raymar Morgan, Jamont Gordon, Mike Green (Butler), Brook Lopez, Shan Foster, DeMarcus Nelson, D.J. Augustin, Josh Young (Drake), and Sam Young!
GoingDeepness Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Sorry guys but Lofton is no where close to being a top 5 player in the NCAA. Name 5 players with a better shot than Lofton.....thats what I thought.
sportsfan41 Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Name 5 players with a better shot than Lofton.....thats what I thought. They said top five players,...... not top 5 shooters, or top five scorers; which I'm not sure he'd be in this season.
mobaar Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Sorry guys but Lofton is no where close to being a top 5 player in the NCAA. Seriously. I like the guy, but top 5? Not even close.
Xtiger69 Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Seriously. I like the guy, but top 5? Not even close. Agreed!
HOPKINSVILLE TIGER Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Patterson Bradley OJ Mayo Micheal Beasley Roy Hibbert Kevin Love Eric Gordon Derek Love Freshman twin from Oklohoma Split them up either way and thewre are 8-10 more who could be on this list, many more freshman also!
SLINK Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Michael Beasley DJ White Kevin Love Tyler Hansbrough Chris Douglas-Roberts
TubbyCAT Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 I would say it would be very difficult to choose the top 5, but it makes for good conversation!
5wide Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Name 5 players with a better shot than Lofton.....thats what I thought. I have seen very few, if any, players with a better shot than Steve Kerr. I may have to reconsider my all-time NBA rankings and bump Mr. Kerr up a few notches.
