Well, I'm not ready to give up on 2008 quite so soon myself! They'll be young in spots, but certainly not without talent. Boone lost a lot of senior talent and Conner will also be young, so Ryle will still compete very well within their district. I do think a lot will be riding on their defense initially, which is good because I think it'll be their strength early on.

Juniors (next season's seniors) are "grandfathered" and do not have to move. I am not aware of any underclassmen starters that will be leaving for Cooper. I believe Ryle will only lose about 200 students. Conner is the school that will be most impacted.

I am pretty sure he was a Defensive Coordinator at Cov. Cath at one time and I think he went to Newport but I am not sure. I don't know if he coached last year or not.

 

He was at CCH then went with Coach Schlarman to Campbell County then to Newport. He did coach last year as far as I know.

Everybody in Union be sure to ask Nate about his high school drop of a would be interception at Riverfront Stadium against Massilon Washington. Nothing but green field turf between Nate and his second pick 6 on the day...

I think they will be okay this year and the next, good skill position players but lacking up front on the o and d lines. Their Sophomore class for the upcoming season is their best class as far as overall talent. But they will have it tough in their district because Conner's upcoming Junior class is very talented at the skill positions and upfront on the line. Campbell County is talented in the same classes as Ryle.

Raiders will definitely not be lacking on the d-line, but they lost a lot on the o-line. There are a lot of returning starters for Ryle on the defensive side, especially up front. #7-Brzinski will be one of the best around. Sounds good to have an O coordinator after rather predictable play-calling the past few years.

It seems as if ryle is basically loosing their whole offensive package.

Anyone know anything about a former Dixie student (last name Fightmaster) that recently transferred to Ryle? Apparently he'll be a senior next year and is a solid QB that simply didn't get much PT behind Dixie's starting QB.
