I'll get an email out to the guys here soon. Im ready as soon as the weather breaks.:thumb:

You left out the best and my current driver. Cleveland Launcher, I tested them all and I absolutely love mine!

I really like my Launcher too. Ive hit a lot of other drivers but my launcher is the only one for me.

Agent,

My uncle just bought a Tayler Made Super Quad a couple weeks ago at the Cincy golf show for 289 bucks. Not sure how much they are regularly but we played over the weekend and he was stroking it with the new driver and really likes it.

Im looking to spend around $250.00- $300.00, what is the best driver for this price range?

I have had really good luck with e-bay. You can usually get last years driver for half or even a third of new price. Sometimes I will buy demos for fifty to one hundred dollars , maybe get two or three and try them out and keep the best one and sell the others back on e-bay.You may want to go to Dicks and try some of last years. There are some good ones such as adams 460 , srixon bul, taylor made ,that you can buy very cheap. They may not be as good as top brands talked about earlier , but you may be surprised !;)

I would suggest a quick trip to your local club fitter/maker first....Not much use in spending $250-$300 on something you cant hit......A good club fitter will help you narrow your choices to clubs best suited to your current swing....Who knows you may pick up a few free swing tips in the process.

I saw a guy a couple years ago and went thru a driver fitting session....cost me $75 bucks and I ended up buying a driver that I never would have even looked without his input.....driver cost me $170 brand new on eBay. So for $245 I greatly improved my game off the tee......

Ok I may need to change my mind. I have struggled some lately with the Launcher so I today I tried my uncles Super Quad a couple times and I loved it. I was hitting it deep and more importantly STRAIGHT today. Loved kickin my uncles butt with his own club. You may want to try one of these out Agent.

I have a SuperQuad and really like it. I hit it straight and can shape it how I want usually, but I hit it too high, even with the weights set on on low trajectory. I guess if I'm hitting fairways I shouldnt complain.

The r7 and the super quad are top on my list so far. :ylsuper:

Something to keep in mind, the shaft you get is a pretty big deal in how you hit the ball. I think that is what I am going to try with my SuperQuad is get a new shaft.

E'bay is the place to shop for everything. I got my Slingshot irons for $148, a steal, regular $799. Got my Sasquatch Driver for $124, regular $350, and got a bright yellow and black Nike tour limited edition back that they only made 400 of for $189, regular $400. Got a top Nike set and bag for under $450. Should of cost me about $1500.... Best thing is the driver increased my distance and accuracy. You have to know nothing Tiger plays with is going to be just average. Just wish I could find some Pro V1's to go with them real cheap, they are still the best balls in golf. IMO

Can you give me different club shaft specs?

Well, you are generally going to want a 44 or 45 inch shaft, then you are going to be looking at flex, weight, kick point, etc. It is going to depend on your swing speed and if you need to hit the ball lower, higher, etc.

Here is a good link I found that explains just about everything about shafts performance

:thumb: You are sooo correct on "the shaft". It may very well be 70% of the overall performance !!

The shaft is half the reason I went with my Launcher. It came with an Aldila x-stiff shaft which I definently needed.
