As long as it was prior to his 8th grade year, he could be in middle school as long as he wants - he would only be ineligible if he turns 19 before August of his senior year. IMO - a smart move by the Stenzel family to use the rules to their advantage - however long he may have been in middle school. It will only help Robby get a scholarship to a higher level college.

I keep hearing that Clark "will be good" , unfortunately we live in the present, who is to say Montgomery doesnt get some transfers and "will be good" as well. If you build it....they will come :)

In the past, MC athletics at the middle school has been poor at best. The high school programs have had to catch up for this poor job at the middle school. This situation has finally been fixed at MC. All programs are now hitting on all cylinders.

I expect Montgomery to be competitive with or without a transfer. MC plays with a lot of heart. All the sports programs have kicked it up a notch and the kids play with a ton of heart.

Good to see Brandon Rash step up offensively. If he continues to score and Clark and Stephens play to their potential this becomes a very good team.

Brandon Rash needs to realize how good he can be. He must come out of his shell. I said in the pregame post that this game would reveal the leaders for MC. It clearly did. The top players show up when most needed. The leaders know when its time to take over.

Stull, Rash, Crisp, and Clark led the way. They shot the ball well, handled it well, and played hard on defense. They made no excuses for the 1st qtr and they did not look for the back door of the gym.

A good win for this team that I think revealed some character.

I agree. Great move.

Kids stay back a grade or so when they can and play up when they can - the only thing people are tired of hearing is ". . . and he is only a freshman". He's a good kid, and a good player who is taking advantage of the opportunity to maximize his playing time. He should be given praise on his ability, but to constantly tout his performance as a "freshman" gives a distorted picture, because it sounds like he is not a 14 year old freshman.

People sure have a lot to worry and talk about. How many freshmen on any team is 14--get real !!!!!!!!!!

Let's all get back, to discussing the game and not speculative issues.

Thanks :dancingpa

Sounds like it was a good game - Does anyone know how many fans were turned away from the small gym?

You must be from Mason Co......

From what I hear, there was a good crowd. Not quite full, but a very good crowd.

No just being sarcastic.

I can't wait until the Region Tournament at Mt. Sterling, with my 15 minute drive I'll be there early.

My bad man!

I can't wait either!

Maybe you should stop by my house before you go to the gym for an apologetic beverage! :D

I didn't see a real good game like others have said. The officials seemed like they were calling against each other all night and one of them was reversed by the other at least three or four times. Clark county was not shooting well and not rebounding either, that is a bad combination. Montgomery better enjoy this season because next year will be a different story!

Next year will be a different story? I wouldn't say that, MC has 2 solid starters returning in Rash and Hendrix along with Ty Combs and Azrey Crisp who are solid contributers this year off the bench. MC has just as good a shot of sweeping Clark county in the regular season next year as they did this year!
