Do you think Tom Brady is/will be the best QB to ever play the game? Is he past Elway, Marino, Montana and the rest? Explain.

Do I think he's the best ever so far as talent goes? No. I don't know that it would be possible to pick that one person.

He is in an incredible system with immeasurable talent around him and possibly the best organization top to bottom that has ever come down the pipe.

And, no I'm not saying he's a system QB.

Simply winning championships, IMO, does not make you the best.

Yes. He was amazing with marginal weapons on the way to three titles. When he got the right targets he had the best season ever...

Has led the Pats to their 4th SB in last 7 years. The guy is only 30 years old.

QB's are measured by winning.

Brady has Never had a losing season as a starter.

3 SB rings

2 SB MVP's

Played in 5 AFC Champ Games

Great manipulator of the Defense

Does not throw that many INT's compared to Yards thrown

Brady does need a Montana moment in the big game like the Dwight Clark play

Add 1 more Super Bowl win to your post above and you've nailed Terry Bradshaw right on the head.

Is he the best ever?

Nope & neither is Tom Brady...

What was the point of your post then?

I am the biggest critic of him, but just look at his numbers:

3 Superbowl rings 2 MVP awards

4 Pro Bowls

An AVERAGE SEASON OF 63% 3,767 yards 28 TD's

Those numbers are not the best but remember this he ALREADY has 3 rings in 7 years and has a chance at another. He is only 30 years old!!! As durable as he normally is, he could probably play another 7 years.

I understand that not everything is about winning, in terms of Hall-Of-Fame or "best ever." More than likely he will go over 30,000 yards next season. To me, personally, I have to compare some of the greats to him:

Montana: 4 Super Bowls (4 apperances) 35,142 yards 244 TD's and 123 INT 8 Pro-Bowl's

Favre: 1 Super Bowl (2 apperances) 61,655 yards 442TD's 288 INT 9 Pro-Bowls

Brady: 3* Super Bowls (4* apperances) 26,370 yards 197 TD's 86 INT 4 Pro-Bowl's

I am not going to say he is the best but he has a good shot, but so does Manning, if he gets another Super Bowl or two.

To post some points that nobody had said yet. I think he will end up being the best ever though.

Again, if you're going strictly by numbers, Super Bowl wins, and Super Bowl MVP's how do you not include Terry Bradshaw?
Yes. He was amazing with marginal weapons on the way to three titles. When he got the right targets he had the best season ever...

He won 3 Super Bowl Rings with those "marginal weapons" that you speak of.

I think Akili Smith would be a good QB for the patriots! I think its the system and the players around him. Remember what happened last year without Welker, Moss and Co.

Again, if you're going strictly by numbers, Super Bowl wins, and Super Bowl MVP's how do you not include Terry Bradshaw?

I just forgot to include him :D

4 Super Bowls (4 apperances) 3 Pro-Bowl

27,989 yards 212 TD 210 INT

If Brady wins the Super Bowl this year he has passed Bradshaw for sure.
