Cartoon mocking LCA and LexCath

It is true that the majority were publics. However, 5 of the 21 or right at 1/4 are privates. Do privates make up 1/4 of all the schools in the state? Not even close so then a greater percentage of all privates were guilty of KHSAA violations--correct?

Joe, I was thinking this exact thought then I got to your post and saw you had already made this point. :thumb:

I do think privates get a lot of scrutiny, but so do public's. If you think neighboring public schools don't keep a close eye on each other then you are mistaken. Any program in any sport at any school that has more success than a neighboring school's program is looked at with a skeptical eye. This is not just a public / private issue but it is also a private / private and public / public issue.

Exactly the point I was trying to make. Separation of Public and Private will not resolve the issue because problems run deeper than that.

Did the public schools pay tuition for an athlete to play for them?

It is comparing apples to oranges Public schools try to persuade kids to move or whatever but they dont pay tuition.

I would assume they pay the tuition when a student attends a school in a different county from where he lives ?????

You're right, they get jobs or provide housing for the kid's family then they don't have to pay tuition because the kid lives in the school's district. What the publics do may be worse. Thanks for pointing that out. :thumb:

The Cartoon is great and both men need rewarded for doing it. Private schools have an unfair advantage. I am sorry but we need to split the state in two and have Private and Public. This will stop all the bickering.

I think the cartoon was born of stereotypes and ignorance. If you believe separation will stop all bickering, I am afraid you are mistaken.

The public school division will still be a caste system consisting of a group of haves and a group of have-nots. Cheating will still exist, just as it does now on both sides of the fence.
