royalalumni13 Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Why does this guy continue to start?? He is awful. He has size, but for his size he is a terrible rebounder. I would start Stephenson or Stewart over him any day. At least they have some athleticism!!
lcdawg4life Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 You are preaching to the choir with me bud, I agree.
bobbyearl Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 My wife who does not watch alot of sports said that guy looks like "Screech" on Saved by the bell. I lost it, and had to turn it over to "Comanche Moon":D:D

Farva Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 I can't seem to find a reason why Coury starts over either of those two guys. He did a good job last night of moving to the basket, but when PP hit him with the pass he could not finish the play. If we can't find someone who can dive to the basket and finish that play, Patterson will continue to get double and triple teamed. I believe Gillispie plays Coury because he plays at 100% Every day, whether it be practice or a game. Coury was probably one of the first on the team to "buy in" whole-heartedly, so I guess this is a continued reward for his effort.

You have to admire how hard he plays and I would have to bet that is what Billy G is trying to sell to the rest of the team. But bless his heart I have seen the guy BANK in 3 free throws this year.
HT721 Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 He's no worse than Bradley, how many times last night did Bradley drive in to the lane and get swatted.... or sling up a 3 that had no chance of going in....

Bradley AT LEAST was good for 20 points. Coury has ZERO post moves, cant finish or score. Remember everyone, there are reasons as to why he was a walk-on.
pride50 Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Stevenson is twice the player Mark Coury is...
el gato Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Stevenson is twice the player Mark Coury is... Which still isn't saying much. He gets lost on defense so much he should carry a PDA with Mapquest.
woodsrider Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Stevenson is twice the player Mark Coury is... 2 X 0 = 0 Stevenson has his moments but Coury is just plain terrible.
