Doing some invesigative work for next season I heard that there is more to the rumor of Sullivan moving to QB. In my professional opinion you could cost this young man scholarship opportunity in doing so I truly hope this is not true.Last years stats say way to much to support my statements Sullivan top 10 Rec. (#8) with 38 rec's 614 yds 61.4 ypg 4 TD's these stats are the reason anyone was looking at this man for their college roster. I think this move is more self serving than player serving. If it is true.

 

The states #8 Rec is Wes King from South Laurel 67 catches 1056 yards and 15 TDs.

 

One thing about Poynter you can never tell what he is going to do? Who knows who is going to be QB?

As far as for Wes King #2 in 5A and #8 in State in regards to Sullivan I was referring to 1A he was #8 and maybe top 20 in State give or take.

 

And let me say "Personal" opinion as not to offend those far more qualified than myself.

 

And yes it is by far "Team before me" in every aspect of the game player, coach, admin...

I meant to congratulate both Coach Poynter and Justin Hawkes and Corey Jones on their recent College commitments. I do believe that Hawkes will be an awesome addition to New Head Coach Austins Panthers at Hanover.Jones should fair well at KW if he works very hard to get ready for the College level. Good job Coach on helping develope these 2 Great athletes and good luck 2 both of you. I look forward to seeing Hawkes next season with the Panthers.:thumb:

What about team serving? Most coaches make decisions based on what's best for the team not an individual player, and with the job Poynter has done there I will trust his judgement.

College Coaches know if someone can play or not. Look at EJ Fields, he played QB at Frankfort and went to UK, but I do not think he is going to be a QB there.

I happen to agree with pigman as well, but watching the games that I was able to make last season I was impressed by his (Sullivan) recieving ability, completely unimpressed with his defense and never saw him at QB, not at any of the games I was able to get to anyway.

And last since Poynter is the Coach at TC, I am sure to let him do his job and I can promise you, I will do mine.

That supports what I am trying to say, as a Coach and former QB 12 years worth it takes a certain type kid to make a good QB... I am not saying that Sullivan is not that type but all Coaches will agree that one key factor in being a good QB is EXPERIENCE at least your JV QB played 8 games behind center and from what I saw he even got a little time in 1 or 2 Varsity games and his father told me that he has played QB since he was 6 years old that my friend is called EXPERIENCE....:thumb:
