Yes, Scott is 3-0 in their district, but to be a TRUE factor in your district, you must at least advance to the district finals. IMO: Scott would have to beat CC at CC to guarantee a spot in the regional tourny and that isn't going to happen. Scott will more than likely play Brossart again in the district semi-finals. Let's wait till March to see what happens.

 

To be a factor in your district you have to compete well within your district, and as of today, I would say Scott has done a very good job.

Last couple of years Scott has beaten CC in the first round. If all goes as I think Coach Code has it planned, they will not meet until the finals. Look for CC to win over Scott this week, and clinch the 1 spot in District Tourney.

Glad to see the Eagles flying high in Taylor Mill...knock off Campbell and you get the one seed.

This just keeps getting better and better. Its funny that people cannot admit that they were wrong. Scott and Brossart are two teams that will get better and better as the year goes on. Win or lose next Friday I am sure that some on here will have negative things to say about Scott. Let the players be happy for the first win over Brossart. The season is a marathon and not a sprint and the Eagles continue to get better and better after struggling early with a tough schedule.

I thought you were a Scott Eagles fan? Brad Carr's teams are very well coached and sound in all phases of the game. This season is certainly not last season, but it seemed that Coach Carr seemed to have his team's playing it's best in MARCH...that's when his team was within a few made free throws in the regional tournament from advancing to the regional championship last year.

 

So there is proof, at least, that in season's past, Scott is very much indeed a factor. Seems like there is sometimes some sour grapes toward Scott H.S. when there is no need to be.

 

The best predictor of the future is what you have done in the past same circumstances, there is no need to assume that they wouldn't be a factor and it's mind boggling to think they wouldn't be after posting a current 3-0 record.

 

Maybe some are just wishing for failure as some sort of self-satisfaction? Who's knows....but I've seen it in other threads before with similar rhetoric. Just a thought.

He was last year, due to graduation, and a year later, he seems to be a pioneer fan. O well. Anyway, Scott seemed to be firing on all cylinders up until mid way through the 4th, I believe they got up by as much as 13-14, If they want to beat Campbell, they better seal the deal.

Scott played a great game and if you read my post at the top of the thread I think I clearly stated that on this night the Eagles certainly deserved to win.

 

Scott led by 11 on two occasions, at around the five minute mark in the fourth quarter, and again with 3:24 left to go in the game. They connected on 10 of 16 free throws down the stretch and went 22/32 (unofficial) from the line for the game.

 

Round one goes to the Eagles - it will make for a very heated contest should we see each other again during the first week in March.
