Very Hard Collision on a Block/Charge Call. He hit the floor and may have broken ribs and or Back Injury.

Matt Wright went to the local Hospital there in Ervin and was examined. He was realeased later that night after taking x-rays and being examined and found to just have deep bruises around the rib cage area. I dont know if further testing will be done but if so and something comes up I will update at that time.

Coming from Owsley's team and staff and being a long time friend to Matt and the Wright Family,thank you for your prayers and concerns.

I heard from some fans at the game that the officiating was a bit lacking of control. I understand that there were some technicals, etc. and things were let get out of control throughout the game. Too bad, a kid had to end up badly injured.

Hopefully this is not too serious and Matt will heal quickly. These collisions and falls can be very scary.

This game was extremely rough. IMO is wasn't a terrible called game but there were some no calls on Owsley's end that should of been called.

Matt is doing fine he has been out and about and i spoke to him at the girls game tonight and he said he was going to try and play tuesday night againist powell.

Good to hear. I hate to see anyone get hurt.
