A point to ponder: why the same refs for the girls V game and boys V game? I know some of you refs read this stuff so please answer the question. There is no circumstance that should have one set of refs do both games. I will also had that they weren't very good. For example fouls were 9-2(not going to say which team had two) within 2:30 the fouls were 10-9. CC played a tremendous game if they shoot like they did last night they are a good team.

Never heard of the same set of ref's being scheduled to work a double header. Doesn't make sense.

I did think the ref situation was odd, as well. That was definitely a tough gig for them.

 

Good Luck to the Cats against Ryle! I love seeing the little guy bringing it to the big schools.

Did it seem like they let some stuff go toward the end of the first half and then they must have talked about it and came out calling tight the second half..

Last night was one of the busiest nights in the region as to the number of games and officials needed. A large number of district game that needed 3 officials. Assigner worked out the what he thought was best.

That makes sense, I bet those guys slept good last night, they had to be tired.

Probably more mentally than physically

This game was probably one of the best games I have seen all year! I was very excited to see the Panthers play ball very hard and play as a team. This game was not close because Gallatin played bad, both teams played very well throughout the game. This game shows that Carroll can compete within the district and could make some noise come Class "A". It was a great night of basketball in Carrollton. Congrats to the Carroll Co. Lady Panthers and to Gallatin Co. on the victory last night. :thumb:

IMO the reason the game was as close as it was is that CC was shooting very well. Couple that with a sub-par performance from Gallatin in a high charged atmosphere that was heavily against Gallatin. I hope Gallatin shakes off this funk they are in and gets back to playing ball the way they are capable of playing. Having said that, it was a great game to watch purely from a basketball standpoint. Congrats to both teams and good luck the rest of the way!:thumb:

Great atmosphere for HS basketball. It's a shame it's not like that more often. Carroll had a great student section that stayed fired up during both games.

Well DAD his theory was wrong, it was horrible for both teams.
